Trip Description top of page

A  week  in the powder mecca of British Columbia awaits you and your fellow ski touring fanatics. Everything you can imagine... Rogers' Pass has to offer. From epic high alpine summits with outstanding glaciated descents to mind blowing deep powder tree skiing and a whole lot inbetween... This heaven on earth has no worthy equal! Mind blowing untouched powder awaits...

Start every day off with a resturaunt quality breakfast  at the hotel where we discuss the days objectives in a  morning briefing. We then step outside and head off down the trail (somedays this will literally be the case as some of the best skiing in Rogers Pass is just outside the hotel!!).

Once back from a long day of amazing skiing, you can relax in the hot tub, check out the bar, do whatever you please (even head to bed early as the next days will undoubtably be as good as today). This small description is but a taste of what the potential of every day is like skiing at Rogers Pass... and every day of your trip with the International Guide Bureau.

Trip Itinerary top of page

A sample intinerary of a "typical" Rogers' Pass Trip

+ meet up the evening before at the Glacier Park Lodge, do introductions, gear check, get settled in and ready for the week...

Day 1 - weather and conditions dependant, a warm up day which could consist of many objectives like Balu Pass/Connaught Creek Area

Day 2 - the group is warmed up and ready to go, conditions are excellent, our objectives could include trips like Youngs Peak/Seven Steps of Paradise or The Lily Glacier/Mt. Swanzy

Day 3 - lots of snow overnight and avalanche conditions aren't ideal... No worries as things like skiing around Grizzly Shoudler and the many lines we can ski there will include only the deepest powder you've ever dreamed of

Day 4 - the large dump of snow has settled out and conditions are improving, some folks are tired and not keen on going far from the hotel... No problem... we can do laps on the Little Sifton Traverse/Ski in the Hermit Area and drop folks off at the hotel after every lap if need be...

Day 5 - Summit day... the group is really ready to GO!... this could see us bagging a classic trip like the Tupper Traverse or skiing part of the 3 pass route (Balu and Catamount Passes in the Cougar Valley) doing several summits on the way...

Day 6 - Everyone loved ski mountaineering so much they want more summits - lets go for it. Some preferred the massive glacier runs.. Lets do them both then...

Day 7- wake up... get some skiing in the morning until mid afternoon and head back to the hotel... pack up and part ways...

... and the above is just a sample... the possibilities are truly endless when skiing in Rogers' Pass. A real skiing paradise....
