Trip Description top of page

The whole mountain looks like a castle, and Eisenhower Tower is the right tower when you are looking at it from the TransCanada Highway as you drive west to Lake Louise, or east to Banff from LakeLouise.  The rock on Eisenhower Tower just like the rest of the mountain is Dolomite; Solid and delightful to climb.  The view from the top is outstanding!  Just like a lot of the classics in the Rockies there is history behind this climb; first climb in 1968 and was a "tour-de-force,"but today it is a great outing for an intermediate level climber who is looking for an adventure.
