Strapped to tiny red plastic skis, Eric began skiing at a very young age and never looked back. An excellent skier, Eric has compiled quite an excellent ski resume. He is an internationally recognized IFMGA mountain guide, a CSIA ski instructor, a CAA level II and professional member of the Canadian Avalanche Association. He has worked ski guiding in 4 different heli-ski operations, for several renowned ski tour operators, and for his private clients in both Canada and Europe. Eric has also accomplished long (over 100km) non hut based ski traverses such as the Southern Cariboos Traverse and has compiled hundreds of ski mountaineering ascents.

Some of my Favorites!
Skiing was my first love with the outdoor adventure sports, When I was young it was an addiction and now as a wizened professional, I am still amazed at what I got away with! For me, skiing is a combination of fun, art and adventure. Is there anything more exhilarating and fun than dashing down a big steep and deep line in the mountains? I love the challenge and complexity of tracing the perfect ski tour track upon the blank canvass of virgin snow to give my clients the most efficient ascent and bring them to the best snow and ski terrain. Finally, my spirit is that of the adventurer and as such I have ventured and I pride myself in being able to offer my clients amazing ski touring and ski mountaineering that will not disappoint.
Ski mountaineering in the Canadian Rockies is challenging and exciting. The mountains are big, the descents long and the views unbelievable. Further more there is an excellent number of huts, which are perfect to base out of. Be prepared for an unforgettable adventure up and…down these majestic peaks.
I offer several custom day trips to powder stashes or ski mountaineering objectives that will see little people, exciting terrain and excellent skiing. If I advertised these everyone would find out about them. Please enquire with me for the goods!
Rogers Pass in the Selkirk Mountains is synonymous with deep powder and amazing terrain. Let me bring you to my deep powder stashes, bagging a peak or two along the way, skiing back down amazing old growth trees. Later relax in the hot tub and luxury of a surprisingly affordable 3 star hotel. Can the next day possibly get any better?”
My favorite idea of skiing is in one of Canada’s epic Western mountain ranges. Because Canada has the most dependable high quality powder in the world. Further more the terrain incredible and there are no crowds. The ultimate Canadian experience is to fly into a remote chalet with a great group of keen folks for a week. Trips can be fully catered, and clients can either create their own group or join a group. As well the cost is surprisingly affordable. About half the price of a similar trip in Europe for example! Please enquire about Eric’s current hut trips or to organize a trip.
For the epitome of skiing max powder and max vertical, I organize adrenalin filled private small group heli-skiing with Canada’s foremost quality heli-ski company- Eagle Pass Heli-skiing. Unsurpassed for its unbelievable abundance of champagne powder and amazing terrain comprised of the worlds best old growth steep tree skiing and vast open alpine terrain. This trip is suitable for advanced skiers only.
