Shaun has been teaching and guiding rock for 15 years and keeps busy developing new areas.  His good humored nature and contagious affinity for the vertical realm make him an inspirational guide.  He is also a very patient and effective instructor with years of experience teaching all ages and abilities.

Shaun resides in Nelson, BC in the West Kootenays which is host to a new rock climbing guidebook boasting over 400 routes and that number is growing daily with lots of potential new areas still untapped.  With sport climbs from 5.4 to 5.13b, loads of granite gear climbs, and multipitch routes to 8 pitches, the valley climbs offer easy access, great views and often close proximity to swimming in the heat of summer.  

In an hour and half drive from Nelson, you can be in the incredible Valhalla range - a literal Shangri La of quality alpine rock towers and pristine lakes.  It has the feel and mystique of the Bugaboos without the crowds!
